As an L&D creative agency, we believe that helping people change for the better (upskilling) is the best way for our clients to become future-proof.

Sidedoor is led by Si Beales, who combines his experience as a marketer and visual storyteller with expertise as a lecturer and senior academic at leading universities. Working with Alex Moran, an award-winning filmmaker and Bo Brindle, a D&AD winning graphic designer, the team are united behind the mission; learning needs to change.

So, we design learning, create stories and craft experiences that make learning stick. Learning that is engaging, interactive and impactful. Developing human skills, building lifelong habits & empowering personal journeys.

Sidedoor Studios Team Image, Bo, Si and Alex

Si Beales is our Founder & Learning Director

He is an award-winning speaker, educator, academic, writer, and entrepreneur.

He specialises in habit-based learning, particularly in helping people boost their human skills and learn creatively.

Si has worked with thousands of people and businesses, in the UK and abroad, to demystify learning and promote future skills.

He has worked with brands such as Adidas, Boots, The Law Society, Levi’s and Sky. He is also a senior academic at Leeds School of Arts, where his research area is heutagogy.  

Si has written for The Guardian, The Times, Vogue and Psychologies magazine. And been a regular contributor to the BBC.

Alex is our Production Director.

He’s a filmmaker by trade who has produced insight and story-driven content for organisations across the UK and beyond whether it be a nationwide advertisement or campaign. Storytelling is vital to empowering teams.

Now, he’s reimagining Learning & Development through research-driven, social and creative video and interactivity. Leading production to create content that feels less like training and more like an experience people actually want to engage with - built from the ground up with pedagogy & heutagogy!

By putting people at the heart of our productions, we can focus on the skills that can’t be replaced, human skills.

Bo Brindle is our Creative Director.

A D&AD Pencil winning designer, specialising in visual design for learning.

As Creative Lead at Sidedoor Studio, he transforms the industry’s standard of dull, forgettable training into bold, engaging content that holds attention and makes learning feel genuinely worth engaging with.

His approach blends aesthetic brand led visuals with learning science, helping organisations boost clarity, understanding, and key metrics like retention and completion rates.
